The volume of coal production in the Rostov region increased to 1.45 million tons in the first quarter of 2023, the press service of the regional administration reported on May 2.
“Coal mining enterprises of the Rostov region in the first three months of 2023 increased their production to 1.45 million tons of coal, one percent more than in the same period last year”says the message.
It is alleged that this result was achieved, among other things, due to the absence of serious mining and geological disturbances in the stopes.
Based on the results of the first quarter, it can be concluded that coal mining companies maintain plans for coal production at the level of 6 million tons at the end of the year. For example, in the first three months of 2023, 492.3 thousand tons of coal were mined at the Obukhovskaya mine. This is 35% more than in the same period in 2022. In total, in 2023, the mine is expected to produce more than 1.8 million tons of coal.
