Employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Fisheries of the Murmansk Region checked the progress of work on the reclamation of a landfill in the Drovyanoe microdistrict of Murmansk with the participation of representatives of the Murmansk Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office and the Murmansk Administration , reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources on May 2 on the official page of the VKontakte social network.
The work is carried out within the framework of the national project “Ecology”. Buildings from frameless multi-layer construction structures for treatment facilities, as well as a warehouse for storing reagents, have already been erected on the site.
The equipment works for the storm sewerage system are being finalized, the installation of the leachate storage tanks has been completed. The installation work for a biogas collection and evacuation system in the body of the landfill and a flare plant for burning biogas have already been completed.
It should be noted that due to the onset of warm weather at the facility, grass germination is observed in the fertile soil, which was partially covered with the landfill body in the fall of 2022. The final filling of the landfill body with fertile soil and The sowing of grass is scheduled for the summer period of 2023.
Recall that 2 thousand 835.3 million rubles were allocated for the recovery of the municipal solid waste landfill in the Drovyanoe microdistrict of Murmansk, which is scheduled to be completed in September 2023. It was previously reported that the technical stage of recovery will last until July 2023, after which the biological stage will follow, which includes grass planting activities.
