The Parliament unanimously approved this Wednesday the hearings of the General Secretary of the Information System of the Portuguese Republic (SIRP) and the Director of the Security Information Service (SIS) regarding the recovery of the former government deputy’s computer with classified information.
At a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees, the PS rejected requests to hear the Minister of Infrastructure João Galamba, his former deputy Frederic Pinheira, and the Minister of Justice. , Catarina Sarmento and Castro.
The PSD also asked for the issue to be “expressly included” in the hearings of the Supervisory Board of the Information System of the Portuguese Republic, scheduled shortly thereafter, behind closed doors due to judicial enforcement, which caused a tense exchange of accusations between the PS and the PSD, after the socialists opposed the inclusion this issue on today’s agenda.
