Moscow accuses US of drone attack on Kremlin

On Thursday, the Russian president blamed the United States for an alleged drone (drone) attack on the Kremlin on Wednesday, after Kyiv had already denied involvement in the alleged operation.

“The attempts by Kiev and Washington to abdicate responsibility (in the alleged attack) are absolutely ridiculous. Decisions on these types of attacks are not made in Kiev, but in Washington. Kiev just does what it is told,” he accused. Russian President Dmitry Peskov during a press conference.

The same official added that Russian President Vladimir Putin was working today at the Kremlin building in Moscow, where security has been stepped up following the alleged assassination.

Vladimir Putin “works in the Kremlin, where he will meet – at an important meeting – with the Minister of Economic Development,” Peskov said.

Kyiv on Wednesday denied involvement in the alleged attack on Moscow.

On Wednesday, the Russian president said that “the Kiev regime tried to attack the residence of the Russian president in the Kremlin” the night before, pointing out that the armed forces electronically intercepted two drones “which were heading towards the Kremlin.”

The Kremlin added that two disabled drones fell into the fence without causing any damage or injury.
