Luis Tome, chronicler morning Post ed.Director of the Department of International Relations of the Autonomous University of Lisbon, was the only Portuguese invited to participate in Istanbul Security Forum.
The meeting took place on May 2 and 3 in Istanbul and was hosted by the Turkish government with the aim of initiating a debate on the concept of security from an innovative point of view.
Professor Luis Tome was a speaker at the panel “Recoding the Transatlantic Security Architecture” on May 2, where he touched on the war in Ukraine and how this armed conflict has changed the geopolitical map of Europe and ultimately as a “dream of peace” and the growing influence of Russia and China to the countries of the southern hemisphere.
