More than 6.1 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 4.5 thousand tons of coal were delivered by winter roads to remote settlements of the Chukotka Autonomous District, the press service of the regional Department for Industrial Policy reported on May 5.
It should be noted that the villages of the Anadyr, Bilibinsky and Chaunsky districts of Chukotka are fully provided with energy resources.
“Measures for the delivery of fuel and energy resources were successful, thanks to good weather conditions: coal and diesel fuel reserves in the villages of three Chukotka municipalities were replenished by 100%. The final batch of coal and diesel fuel was delivered to the villages of the Chaunsky district, after which the fuel delivery is considered officially closed. In total, about 2.5 thousand tons of diesel fuel were delivered to the Anadyr district, 3 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 2.5 thousand tons of coal were delivered to the villages of the Bilibinsky district, about 2 thousand tons of coal and 630 tons of diesel fuel was delivered to the Chaunsky district.says the message.
As a result, the necessary fuel supply has been created, which will ensure the operation of boiler houses and diesel power plants in hard-to-reach Chukotka villages until the next period of winter roads in 2023-2024.
Remember that fuel is delivered by winter roads to those Chukotka settlements that are not accessible by motor transport during the summer period.
