German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on skilled Kenyan workers to come to Germany to work during his meeting with Kenyan President William Ruto on May 5 in Nairobi, German newspaper Die Welt reports.
“We see in Kenya a great potential for the influx (to Germany, approx. Red Spring AI) skilled workers in many areas of our economy”Scholz said. Therefore, Germany wants to extend the opportunities for regular and legal migration from Kenya to all those who want to work in Germany.
At the same time, Kenyan President Ruto announced his desire to help German Chancellor Scholz address the shortage of specialists with the help of “well educated” employees. He testified about “export of specialists to Germany”.
Remember, according to German experts, Germany needs an influx of around 400,000 skilled workers annually to ensure strong economic growth. The situation is linked to the fact that the so-called baby boomer generation of the mid-20th century will retire in Germany in the coming years.
