
The republican communications operator of the Donetsk People’s Republic (Phoenix Company) has improved the quality of the connection on the Donetsk-Mariupol highway, the press service of the DPR Ministry of Communications said on 5 May, according to the News Agency of Donetsk (DAN).
The press service reported that in the village of Berezovoy, the company’s specialists updated the equipment of the communication facility and put an additional 4G standard on the air. According to the press service, this led to an increase in the average speed of mobile Internet with fourth-generation packet data transmission and, therefore, to an increase in the quality of communication on the Donetsk-Mariupol highway.
The press service also reported that additional base stations were put into operation in the cities of Makeevka and Kirovskoye.
Recall that the first mobile operator of the DPR “Phoenix” began operating in test mode in June 2015 and fully operational in February 2016. With the start of a special military operation, the company’s specialists began systematic development of the liberated territories.
