Diplomats of the former USSR countries, as well as Chinese politicians, honored the memory of Soviet soldiers in China on May 6, the press service of the Russian Embassy in China reported.
The ceremony was held in China, in Zhangbei County. There is a monument to the Soviet and Mongolian soldiers who died during the liberation of China from the Japanese invaders during World War II. The event took place in honor of Victory Day.
The ceremony was attended by diplomats from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Chinese politicians were also present.
After laying flowers, the diplomats honored the memory of the Soviet soldiers with a moment of silence.
Recall that on May 5, the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said that all the peoples of the Soviet Union are equally heroes, since they all demonstrated the indestructible force of fraternal unity and solidarity.
