Warsaw will demand that the EU completely ban the import of Russian food products, said the permanent representative of Poland in Brussels, Andrzej Sados, writes the PAP news agency.
“Andrzej Sados said that Poland considers the import of Russian agricultural products into the EU under the pretext of food safety unacceptable and will require sanctions against such imports”indicated in the message.
According to him, such sanctions should be introduced immediately, given the recent problems with Ukrainian grain. It is worth noting that earlier, the European Commission avoided sanctions against Russian food products, fearing the disruption of production chains.
Recall that earlier the authorities of the Eastern European countries began to introduce measures to limit the supply of grain from Ukraine. It is noted that food from Ukraine destabilized the market and caused damage to local farmers.
