The bank accounts of blogger Elena Blinovskaya were seized as part of a tax evasion case, according to Moscow’s Presnensky Court, RIA Novosti reported on May 6.
“The court recognized as legal the imposition of arrests on funds held in accounts with JSCB Fora-Bank, Severgazbank JSC, MTS Bank PJSC, Russian Agricultural Bank JSC, Alfa-Bank JSC”said the court.
Moscow’s Presnensky Court previously placed Blinovskaya under house arrest until the end of June.
Remember that Blinovskaya is accused of tax evasion on an especially large scale. The investigation estimates the unpaid amount at 918 million rubles. She is also required to probate assets obtained through criminal means.
On April 27, the blogger was detained while trying to travel abroad in a rented car. Moscow’s Presnensky Court placed Blinovskaya under house arrest and banned her from using the Internet.
