Egyptian club ENPPI reports that winger Eric Traore has disappeared after leaving the stadium during a game against Aswan on April 18, refusing to come on as a substitute.
According to Reuters, ENPPI said the 26-year-old, who was on loan from the Pyramids, hung up after leaving the Cairo stadium in Egypt. The club also say that they tried to contact Eric through a woman and an agent, but could not find out where the player is.
The club, which is run by the state oil company, said it had informed the Egyptian Football Association about Traore’s disappearance but did not press charges.
“We hope that he is all right and that we can discuss the formalities later,” ENPPI director of football Mohamed Ismail told Egyptian television channel Al-Nahar.
