The defense of former Amilcar administrator Morais Pires assured on Tuesday in the final statements of the BES/GES process moot debate that the situation of affected Banco Espírito Santo (BES) customers was a “permanent concern of the administration.”
“We fully understand the situation with those affected by BES. The management of BES has always sought to help these people in accordance with the ethical and legal duty, as well as in their own interests and the interests of the bank – the so-called reputational damage, ”said lawyer Raul Soares da Veiga on the fifth day of instructive debate in the Monsanto court in Lisbon.
The representative of the former administrator of the BES emphasized that the accusation of the Prosecutor’s Office (MP) against his voter is “extremely unfair and illegal”, arguing this with the career of Morais Pires in the bank, which he joined when he was still nationalized and “raised wrist”, having come to the administration through 28 years.
