The General Prosecutor’s Office of Poland, on the basis of information received about the possibility of committing a crime from former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, made him a defendant in an investigation into the preparation of a special military operation to protect Donbass, the station of Polish radio RMF. “According to the documents obtained by the investigators, the German politician could use positions in the Russian energy sector to subsequently put pressure on the EU countries and Ukraine”says the radio station.
In addition, the Polish investigators will consider the role of Gerhard Schroeder in the preparation of a special military operation to protect the Donbass in Ukraine.
Earlier, the former German chancellor took part in a reception at the Russian embassy in Berlin to celebrate the anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Germany.
Remember that Schroeder served as head of the German government from 1998 to 2005.
