Insidious 5

The fifth installment of the successful horror series stars lead actor Patrick Wilson for the first time. He will also appear on camera with his wife in the film, Rose Byrne, but the main character will focus on son Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins) and how something sinister is haunting him on a college campus.

Mission: Impossible – Paying for Death, Part One

After his short but hugely successful “Vacations on a Fighter” Superstar Tom Cruise takes on the role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt for the seventh time. Not much has been leaked about the plot so far, but the movies are mostly for the wild stunts that Cruise himself sticks his nose in when he dies. Also returning are Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, as well as newcomers Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff and Cary Elwes.

Barbie

Come on, Barbie, let’s go to the party. To be honest, when we first heard about the Barbie movie, we weren’t thrilled. But then the cast and crew got together and changed everything. Directed by the brilliant Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote the screenplay with her husband Noah Baumbach, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Sima Liu, Emma McKee and Kate McKinnon all starred in front of the camera. All of them, like the photos from the set that went viral, promise a lot of fun.

Jason Statham fights a giant shark! A premise that worked great at the box office in the summer of 2018. Meg has raised over $530 million so now comes the sequel. Statham is back, of course, and will probably have to deal with an even bigger primal monster. Indie filmmaker and blockbuster newcomer Ben Wheatley (free fire) all arranged.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mutant Turtles

After two excursions to the “real world”, the Turtles return here in a purely animated form. Little is known yet, but two gentlemen worked alongside Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears to create a fantastic Mitchells vs. Machines co-authored, one can be optimistic about the latest adventures of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo.

haunted mansion

Disney sends us back to the scary house. In a movie update for a popular Disney theme park attraction, a mother (Rosario Dawson) and her children move into a new haunted home. Supporting roles include Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito and Lakeith Stanfield.

In the DC Extended Universe movie, Mexican teenager Jaime Reyes (Xolo Mariduena) finds an alien bug that gives him super-powered armor. Then, as the Blue Beetle, he declares war on evil. Supporting roles include Susan Sarandon and George Lopez.

Demeter’s last journey

To renfield in April, the next film based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula is released, in August. Horror film by genre specialist Andre Ovredal (Jane Doe autopsy) embellishes a chapter from Stoker’s novel in which Dracula is taken to London by ship, and the crew of the merchant ship Demeter is brutally massacred upon arrival. Slasher with Dracula himself as the killer? Very interesting.

Equalizer 3

In August 2023, Denzel Washington once again administers justice to former CIA agent Robert McCall. Dakota Fanning, whom he met nearly 20 years ago at man on fire already shared the screen. Action specialist Antoine Fuqua once again took over as director, and the film was filmed on, among other locations, the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Expendables 4

Although there is no official launch date for Switzerland yet, the fourth installment of the action series will hit US theaters on September 21, 2023. Directed by Scott WaughNeed for Speed) this time pits Stallone, Statham and Lundgren’s combat forces against the pirates. The cast was joined by 50 Cent, Tony Jaa (Ong Bak), Iko Uwais (Raid) and Megan Fox.
