Hoping to claim that the glitter ball was gone, Mellor and Xu said an emotional goodbye to the show.
The 46-year-old actor said: “I will apply everything I learned from this show to everything I do because it shows that you can do more than you think.
“I didn’t think I’d be coming here and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved and everyone who voted for me, who supported me, the messages I get from my local community and my children. ”
While his professional partner Xu said, “I really would like to have more memories with you and your family.”
