Practical guide on the final of the Euskal Herria Bertsolaris Championship

On Sunday, December 18, the final of the Euskal Herria Bertsolaris Championship is played at the Navarra Arena in Pamplona.

After three months of competition, the last stage of the Championship has arrived, which will be held for the first time in Pamplona. If you don’t want to miss everything that happens, here is some interesting information.

For Maialen Lujanbio it will be the seventh semifinal, for Aitor Mendiluze and Sustrai Colina it will be the sixth, for Amets Arzallus the fifth, for Beñat Gaztelumendi the third and the first for Alaia Martin, Nerea Ibarzabal and Joanes Illarregi.

Maialen Lujanbio, current champion, has won the txapela twice, in 2017 and 2009; Amets Arzallus won the Championship in 2013.

The final can be seen in its entirety on ETB1, eitb.eus and the EITB Youtube channel.

Instructions for the 13,000 people who will fill the Navarra Arena.

Each spectator will have to enter the area corresponding to their entry, and they will not be able to move from one area to another: stands, rebound or court.

To access the stands you will have to use doors A, B and C; for track, the Track1 and Track3 inputs; and for bounce, input A.

After showing the ticket, a bracelet will be placed on each person.

The seats in each zone will not be numbered, and the Navarra Arena will be emptied after the morning session. Bertsozale Elkartea, organizer of the Championship, recommends keeping the same seat in the morning and afternoon sessions.

People with functional diversity will have to attend the recital from the stands, and must use door C. The organization asks these people to contact them by email [email protected]

Tomorrow’s session will begin at 11:00 a.m. (doors will open at 09:00 a.m.); the afternoon, at 5:00 p.m. (the doors will open at 4:00 p.m.).

Inside the pavilion, there will be an Information Point, an Information Point against sexist attacks, bars (on all floors except the second), smoking areas and bathrooms on all floors.
