Like in a movie Pete Doherty: A Stranger in My Skin In the theatrical release, Louis Theroux visits the Libertines frontman in the quiet Norman town where he now lives with his French girlfriend Katie de Vidas and their two-month-old daughter Billie-Mae. Now plump and middle-aged, Doherty talks about his former heroin and crack addictions, his criminal convictions and his role in the tabloids. Theroux also asks about actor Marc Blanco, whose mysterious death in 2006 at a party attended by Doherty was the subject of a recent documentary, before he returned to the UK to attend a Libertines concert.

MasterChef: professionals

Does anyone at home know what Cima di Rapa vegetables are? Apparently it’s a type of sprouting broccoli, and in the final stage of the cooking competition, Monica Galetti challenges two of her professional chefs to prepare cavatelli pasta served with chicken oysters, cime di rapa vegetables and chicken sauce – all in 20 minutes. Protocol. Marcus Wareing then challenges the duo to make poached pineapple with sabayon.

Great British Bake Off

It’s baking week, Matty is still suffering from impostor syndrome, Dan insists on adding an Asian twist to everything, Tash is still impressing the judges with her bread baking skills, and Christy is enjoying watching Paul Hollywood’s tutorial videos. The technical round involves baking a chocolate caterpillar cake, and the highlight is (to quote Alison Hammond) “an incredible, not-at-all beige buffet.”

Portillos Andalusia

Michael comes to Malaga for August’s Feria, one of Spain’s largest street festivals, and meets a group, most of whose members are named Portillo. It then travels to the mountain town of Ronda, stopping at a vineyard along the way and ending at a 16th-century monastery.

Australian Wars

Filmmaker Rachel Perkins’s series about what she calls the “great Australian silence” – the forgotten history of wars between British settlers and indigenous peoples – is now set in 1820s Tasmania, with violent clashes with Aboriginal tribes and atrocities on both sides.

Fucked: stars behind bars

This insightful reality show features a more interesting mix of celebrities locked up with ex-cons than usual. The story continues with actor Tom Rosenthal, who smuggles a bag of tobacco and is not received very warmly by his cellmate. Meanwhile, pop star and influencer HRVY is invited to take part in a prayer session with other Muslim prisoners.
