Nigel Farage had to stick his head into a box full of snakes during his I’m A Celeb debut tonight.
The former UKIP leader took part in the first competition of the year alongside influencer Nella Rose and This Morning presenter Josie Gibson.
Poking his head into the box, the GB News presenter said: “Oh, they’re terrible, aren’t they?”, before using his tongue to move all three stars inside.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Gibson stuck her head into the mud barrel looking for coins.
In another trial, Farage was forced to dig through the dirt in the back of Ms Rose’s burnt-out truck to find the stars.
After the challenge, Ms Gibson joked that the experience “couldn’t be worse than Brexit”.
“I had a feeling we would get something out of it,” Farage responded.

At the end of the episode, show hosts Ant and Dec told the housemates that the public had voted for Mr Farage and Miss Rose to end the next Bush Tucker trial, called “Jungle Pizza”.
The episode featured Ms Gibson trying to explain who Mr Farage was to a confused Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears’ ex-sister.
“He’s a former politician,” she said.
The former Brexit Party leader introduced himself on the show by saying: “To some people I’m a hero, but to millions I’m an absolute villain.”
“In the jungle you will find the real me.” Maybe you’ll like me more, maybe you’ll hate me more, but at least you’ll know.
“The best way to deal with conflict is to deal with it directly. I’ve dealt with snakes in the European Parliament, I can handle them too.”
Mr Farage is reported to be earning £1.5 million from the ITV reality show – the highest amount ever paid to a contestant – after former health secretary Matt Hancock appeared on it last year.
Ahead of the show, the former politician said he hoped to restore his Matt Hancock-style reputation by appearing in the new series.
