Eureka! Zientzia Museoa will close in the second half of 2026, while Tabakalera will host his legacy in a new space that will open its doors in the fall of that same year. Kutxa Fundazioa’s new bet, called ‘Athena‘, will promote creativity and artistic, scientific and humanistic knowledge, contributing in turn to critical thinking and social empowerment
It will be a place to promote relationships between citizens, promoting knowledge, innovation and creation for the benefit of a more creative and sustainable society. ‘Atenea’ will also promote the transmission of STEAM knowledge, as well as the arts and social sciences, to encourage reflection and critical thinking from an inclusive and participatory approach.
“It will use the key of curiosity to open doors to experimentation, shared ideation, creativity and innovation. A vital and public space, in which, through exhibitions, activities, programs and various public expressions, the critical thinking, reflection, debate and collective exchange of significant knowledge”, he highlighted Ander Aizpuruageneral director of Kutxa Fundazioa.

The space will be located on floors 0, 1 and 4, with a total area of 6,300 square meters, and will have exhibition, inspirational, training and collaborative experience areas. Various spaces and solutions for support social transformationwhich is intended to be integrated in a way of complementarity and enrichment of Tabakalera’s offer as a factory of artistic and cultural creation.
“It will serve to pay tribute to knowledge, a door to different spaces and experiences, to curiosity and creative experimentation. A place that encourages and expands all forms of intelligence, empowering and promoting people. In this way, the ‘Atenea’ space, integrated into Tabakalera itself, aims to contribute to the enrichment of the value proposition of this center and reinforce its positioning as an International Center for Contemporary Culture.
