Eleven filmmakers will present their first and second films in the New Directors section of the Zinemaldia

Eleven filmmakers will present their first or second feature films in the New Directors section of the San Sebastian Film Festival, which will celebrate its 72nd edition from 20 to 28 September. All these films and others that will be announced in the coming weeks will compete for the Kutxabank-New Directors Award, worth 50,000 euros.

José Luis Rebordinos, director of the Zinemaldia, said that there is “a bit of everything” in the section. “I think it will possibly be the edition with the most genre films at the festival,” he said.
