Pablo Hernando will present “La Ballena” at the Sitges festival

The director from Vitoria Pablo Hernando (Cabas, Berserker) will premiere its new feature film, A whalein the official section of the 57th edition of the International Fantastic Cinema Festival of Catalonia, which will be held in the Barcelona town of Sitges from October 3 to 13.

Ingrid Garcia-Jonsson plays the role of a ruthless hitwoman in the film, which includes the participation of EITB, capable of infiltrating and disappearing without leaving any trace. But this power comes from another world, a place inhabited by monstrous creatures and from which fewer and fewer humans emerge. The cast is completed by Ramón Barea and Kepa Errasti, among others.

The film combines thriller, noir, sci-fi and fantasy, and the producers have described it as “a The samurai directed by Nicolas Winding Refn”, director of Drive.

Quentin Dupieux, Carles Torrens, Alice Lowe, Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Soi Cheang are other directors who will present their new productions at Sitges.
