Euskaraz irakurri: Euskal Herriko Gazte Orkestrak Seohyun Kim biolinista izango du lagun udako biran
The Euskal Herria Youth Orchestra (EGO) will offer five concerts on its summer tour, which will feature as guest soloist the 15-year-old Korean violinist Seohyun Kim, who will perform Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”.
More than one hundred young musicians have been sharing the artistic residence since July 12 to rehearse for dates on their summer tour that will pass through Hondarribia (July 18), Azkoitia (19), San Sebastián (20), Bilbao (21) and Vitoria (22).
Seohyun Kim will perform the only violin concerto written by Tchaikovsky, a demanding score from a technical and interpretative point of view.
The EGO programme will be completed with ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’, which Mussorgsky composed for piano and Maurice Ravel orchestrated years later.
