Episode 4 Unforgettable – ITV cold case drama starring Nicola Walker had a great ending. Shocked fans will have to wait until episode five to see the disastrous events unfold as we say goodbye to one of the drama’s main characters. Here’s a quick catch up.
What happened at the end of episode 4?
Summarize, Unforgettable follows a team of London detectives led by Detective Inspectors Cassie Stewart (Nicola Walker) and Detective Inspectors Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) as they investigate unsolved cases of disappearances and murders.
However, Series 4 took a devastating and unexpected turn when Cassie was killed after a car deliberately crashed into her car.
It was initially speculated that the driver may have been one of the four suspects under investigation, but he was ultimately unrelated to the case.
The mystery of who killed Matthew Walsh was finally solved when the perpetrator, Dean Barton, née Quinn (Andy Nyman), was revealed to be the owner of the murder weapon. His accomplices also face jail time.
In the episode, we watched as Cassie’s colleague and lead investigator, Sunny (Sanjeev Bhaskar), was heartbroken upon realizing that he had lost his mentor and friend.
Critic Emily Baker said of the finale, “When I was watching the first episode of this series, I wanted to Unforgettable work harder to keep my attention. And so it was.
“Planting such a solid bomb showed audacity that the series had long lacked. Let’s hope it stays that way and that’s enough to make up for Walker’s departure.”

Who will replace Nicola Walker?
Sinead Keenan will play Boss Sunny as Chief Inspector Jessica “Jesse” James. Writer and show creator Chris Lang confirmed this on Twitter last March.
In an interview with PBS Masterpiece, the network that broadcasts Unforgettable and other UK dramas in the US, Lang confirmed that Sunny’s co-star will not only be the new face, but also Sunny’s boss, just like Cassie.
Lang said, “Obviously this introduces a new accomplice [Sunny]which is simply delicious and refreshing. She is a woman and very different from Cassie, that’s all I can say. She is at a completely different stage in her life. she’s younger. She’s his boss again.”
In a teaser for series five, Chief Inspector James sees her first day at her new job as “an unforeseen and disruptive introduction to her family life”.
Born in Dublin, Keenan is perhaps best known to Irish audiences for his role as Farrah Phelan on the television soap opera. Beautiful city.
