Leaving the sunny shores of the Caribbean death in paradiseDetective Inspector Humphrey Goodman is about to embark on a new series of police adventures in Devon.
BBC launches spin-off death in paradise justified beyond paradise who will follow the fate of Humphrey and his fiancée Martha as they begin their new lives in the West Country.
Detective Goodman was last seen following Martha on her way back to London from Paradise Island to confess her eternal love in 2017.
The couple now settle in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott, where Inspector Goodman joins the local police force.

Who plays in the series “Beyond Paradise”?
Actor Chris Marshall reprises his role as Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman, alongside Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd’s fiancée.
EastActress Zahra Ahmadi plays Sergeant Esther Williams. Derry girlsDylan Llewellyn plays PC Kelby Hartford, Felicity Montague plays Margo Martins’ office assistant, and Barbara Flynn plays Ann Lloyd.
Of his return to the role of Detective Goodman, Marshall said, “It’s like putting on old slippers.
“He is a cheerful, sweet old friend. It’s great to play against him again.”
Sally Bretton has become a regular guest on our screens as Lee Mack’s long-suffering co-star on the show. do not come out.
For now, Felicity Montague will be known to Alan Partridge fans as his devoted assistant, Lynn.
Each episode also features various guest stars.

Executive Producer Tim Key said, “If one death in paradise to show that we knew there had to be something beautiful and in the UK we are spoiled for choice.
“There was a lot of talk about where we wanted to go, but we settled in the West Country pretty quickly as we felt that Devon didn’t get a lot of attention in TV dramas, Cornwall gets a lot of recognition.”
Although Cornwall is set in Devon, Cornwall still “deserved its fame” because the series was filmed in the fishing village of Loo on the south coast of Cornwall.
Mr. Key added, “It was a great tourist town, but also a thriving fishing community, so we felt like we had found our home.”
And viewers can expect to see much of the West Country as the storylines take place outside of the fishing port.
