The Colombian film “All my scars fade in the wind”, winner at the Zinebi

Euskaraz irakurri: “All my scars fade in the wind” kolonbiarra, Zinebin nagusi

The animated short film “All my scars fade in the wind” (2022, Colombia), directed by Angélica Restrepo and Carlos Velandia, has won the Grand Prize of the 64th edition of Zinebi, Bilbao International Documentary and Short Film Festival.

The jury highlights the way in which this short film “allows the viewer to travel through time, space and the sound of memory landscapes, guiding us through painful memories” that, over time, fade

Within the Official Section, the list of winners is completed by the Grand Prize for Best Basque Short Film, awarded to the documentary produced at the Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián “Wild Flowers” (Karla Crncevic, 2022) and the Best Spanish Short Film award for “Olores”.

Regarding the Mikeldi Awards for genres, the winners have been for the Franco-German co-production “Backflip” (Nikita Diakur, 2022) for best fiction short film, the Spanish-Brazilian co-production “Searching Heleny” (Esther Vital García, 2022) for best animated short film and the Serbian-Slovenian co-production “Balls” (Gorana Jovanovic, 2022) for best documentary short film.

Regarding the largest prize in the Official Section – endowed with 12,000 euros –, the one awarded to the best first film of the ZIFF – ZINEBI First Film International Competition, the winner has been “Anhell69”.

The EiTB Audience Award, endowed with 3,000 euros, has been for “Searching Heleny (Cadê Heleny?) by Esther Vital García (Spain-Brazil).

The closing gala of the festival will take place this Friday afternoon, starting at 7:30 p.m., and the festival will present the Mikeldi de Honor to Albert Serra.
