The simpler the concept, the more successful the film. In the summer of 2018, many wanted to see action star Jason Statham take on a giant shark on the big screen. Finally played Meg over $530 million worldwide – $153 million came from China alone. To replicate the success, the sequel also stars Chinese supercar Jing Wu, who starred in such successful Chinese box office hits as Wolf Warrior 2 And wandering earth contributed.
