Ukrainian bishops, gathered in a Carmelite monastery in the center of the country, stressed today the importance of Fatima’s message for the population of this country, which has been suffering from the consequences of the war with Russia for more than 500 days.
The meeting was attended by Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon Américo Aguiar, who was particularly touched.
“As a bishop and as a Portuguese, it was a great pleasure for me to be present at this celebration, which emphasized the importance and timeliness of Fatima’s message. I hope that the Mother of God and the Angel of Portugal will answer the prayers of this tortured people and, in particular, the youth,” the prelate said on the second day of his visit to Ukraine.
Another meeting with youth is planned for this afternoon, this time from the Latin region of Ukrainian Catholics.
