A 40-year-old man was seriously injured this Wednesday morning after falling from the roof where he worked in a warehouse, on Rua João Vieira, in Rio Tinto, Gondomar.
The fall appears to have been eight meters. The alarm was received at 10:24.
Upon arrival, Areosa-Rio Tinto firefighters found the victim with serious injuries. An ambulance and intensive care vehicle from the São João Hospital was also at the scene.
According to the Areosa-Rio Tinto fire department, after stabilization, the victim was taken under the supervision of VMER to the Santo Antonio hospital in Porto.
The reasons for the fall from a height of about eight meters are unknown. PSP and the Department of Labor were on site and are investigating.
