“Oppenheimer” became the main winner of the British film award Bafta.

Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer was the big winner at the Bafta, winning seven of the 13 categories it was nominated for, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor.

The feature film about American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, performed by Cillian Murphy, one of the creators of the atomic bomb, also won in the categories “Best Original Score”, “Best Supporting Actor” (Robert Downey Jr.), “Best Cinematography” and “Best Cinematography” Version.

The second most awarded film, which was also the second most nominated, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Creatures, won five of the seven Bafta Awards for which it was nominated.

The film won Emma Stone the award for Best Actress, and also won Baftas awards for Best Characterization, Best Wardrobe, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects.

Both “Oppenheimer” and “Poor Creatures” have already received several awards, including the Golden Globe, presented on January 8 in Hollywood, USA.

Both films are also among the most nominated for the Oscars, the 96th ceremony of which will take place on March 10.

“Oppenheimer” has 13 nominations, including best actor, Cillian Murphy, best picture, director and cinematography.

Poor Creatures is nominated in eleven categories, with a focus on Emma Stone’s nominations as Lead Actress and Co-Producer of the film, as well as the film’s inclusion in the Best Original Score category, composed by Jerskin Fendricks. and which includes fado performed by the Portuguese Carminho.

The 77th BAFTA Awards featured films such as Zone of Interest by Jonathan Glazer based on the novel of the same name by Martin Amis, Excluded by Alexaner Payne, and The Boy and the Crane. Hayao Miyazaki and Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Triet.

Jonathan Glazer’s film won Best British Film, Sound Film and Non-English Language Film, while Alexander Payne’s film won Best Supporting Actress (DeVine Joy Randolph) and Best Cast.

“The Boy and the Crane,” billed as the Japanese animation master’s latest film, won the Bafta for best animated film, while “Anatomy of a Fall” was awarded the film festival’s Palme d’Or last May. The Cannes film won the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay.
