Ventura says Passos Coelho showed Montenegro how to do it

President Chegi said this Monday that former Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho showed the PSD leader the speech that Luis Montenegro is supposed to give since he leads the party.

“In 20 minutes, Passos Coelho explained to Montenegro what he should have done in the PSD two years ago,” said Andre Ventura.

President Chegui was speaking to journalists upon his arrival at a dinner/rally in Sever do Vouga (Aveiro district) when he was asked about the presence of former PSD President and Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho in the Democratic Alliance (PSD coalition) campaign. /CDS-PP/PPM).

Andre Ventura believed that Passos “went to the AD meeting in Faro mainly to tell Montenegro what he should do every day; who they should be.”

The Chegi leader said that his party defends these “ideas,” but “they must be defended by all the right.”

“I think Passos Coelho went to AD to say the obvious: the only path the right has is this one,” he said, claiming that he had “succeeded” in his speech.

Noting that the former Social Democratic prime minister “still manages to raise questions about the stability of the government”, Andre Ventura believes that “if Montenegro has not learned its lesson, it has not understood what it is doing here.”

“What Passos Coelho said is obvious: the right to ensure the stability of the government, and Montenegro does not seem to understand this, and Passos Coelho should go there,” he stated, suggesting that “Perhaps Passos Coelho will still have to go to last day of the campaign to say the same thing again.”

Asked if he was concerned about the former prime minister’s presence on the campaign trail, the Chegi leader responded in the negative, noting that his “only hope is to win the March 10 elections” and then addressed his opponent directly.

“Luis Montenegro, if you are listening to me, call Passos Coelho more often so that he can explain to you how you should do it, and that is the same thing that we are going to do here today,” he challenged.
