A forest fire broke out early this Wednesday afternoon in Cantelains, Vieira do Minho. The alarm was raised at 12:40 p.m. and firefighters from Vieira do Minho were called to the scene.

The fire threatened the village of Postemian in Tabuasas, but the operatives managed to put out the flames and prevent the evacuation. The initial information was about the beginning of the evacuation, but ahead of the work of firefighters on the spot, this scenario was avoided. The fire has already been mastered.
Some houses in the villages of Postemian and Eira Vedra were evacuated.
About 70 operators were on site, supported by 22 vehicles and 2 aircraft.
