The areas of Evora, Beja and Portalegre will be under yellow warning from Tuesday to Thursday due to hot weather forecast, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
Three counties will be under a yellow alert from 12pm Tuesday until 6pm Thursday.
A yellow warning, the least serious of the three, is issued by IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
IPMA forecasts partly cloudy to clear skies on the mainland this Tuesday, moderate winds along the coast especially in the afternoon, the possibility of fog or morning mist in some places on the central coast and rising temperatures especially in the southern region.
Minimum temperatures will range from 14 degrees Celsius (in Bragança and Guarda) to 23 degrees (in Faro), and maximum temperatures will range from 25 degrees (in Aveiro) to 37 degrees (in Évora and Beja).
