Less than a week before the start of the festival, Crato announced a surprise: on the 27th, Paulo de Carvalho will take to the main stage with the Crato Philharmonic for a special show dedicated to the 50th anniversary on April 25. Admission to this concert is free.
This evening will also see the opening of the Crafts and Gastronomy Fair, a freely accessible area with points of sale for regional products, taverns, an area for local and regional crafts and the Official Restaurant, where numerous events will take place alongside the musical programme.
The venue also includes a second stage where various artists perform daily, expressing a wide range of feelings and musical tastes.
As for the main stage, where the big names from the bill perform, this year’s main attractions are James, Ornatos Violeta, Richie Campbell, Jorge Palma, Ivandro and Captain Fausto, among others. On the Afterhours stage, DJs play music until the early hours.
Day tickets and four-day tickets are now available on www.ticketline.pt and at the usual official points of sale. The price of a day ticket ranges from 15 to 20 euros, and a pass from 45 to 55 euros (with camping). Children up to and including 11 years old are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Decorations in holiday mode
Manel Cruz’s band will celebrate on the stage of the Crato Festival the 25th anniversary of the release of their famous second album, “O Monstro Necessita de Amigos”, the most successful of Ornatos Violeta.
