Two firefighters were injured while fighting flames after a fire broke out at the Sociedade Portuense de Drogas factory on Rua da Cavada, S. Cosme, in Gondomar.
The fire alarm at the adhesive and paint factory was raised at 5:41 pm, and more than 100 operators from various fire departments are fighting the blaze with the support of dozens of vehicles.
Residents of the 15 evacuated houses that were within the five-kilometer perimeter of the fire can now return to their homes. The danger of an explosion forced the people to leave.
