This Sunday morning, the STCP tram drove furiously for about a kilometer along the Marginal do Porto. The composition always followed the paths parallel to the Rua do Ouro from the Electric Vehicle Museum and only stopped after passing under the Arrábida Bridge. Everything was filmed by the conductor, who passed by and noticed that the driver was not there.
As a result of the incident, there is a slight injury – who was part of the repair team of the electric car. This man will fall in the museum workshops when the car starts moving. Apparently, maintenance work was underway, but for reasons still unclear, the tram began to move, stopping in front of the entrance to the museum gate. Zapadores was called, as well as INEM, who took the slightly wounded man to the hospital.
To cm, STCP confirms the situation and reports that it has already “assembled a commission of inquiry to find out what happened.” They also emphasize that “the tram was not in operation and there were no passengers on it.” Near the pillars of Ponte da Arrábida, the tram began to lose speed. A STCP technician managed to get inside and stop the car.
