Black Mamba, Equinocio, Marcelo and Hélder Bruno were among the musicians honored at the International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA) held in the North American city of Providence.
In the 11th edition of the IPMA on Saturday night, Portugal won nine out of 12 categories in the competition at a gala presented by actress Daniela Rua and TV presenter Ricardo Farias, featuring artists such as José Cid, Marisa Liz, Diogo Pizarra, Pedro Abrunhosa , Plutonio, Toy and others.
At the event, which took place at the Providence Center for the Performing Arts in the US state of Rhode Island, The Black Mamba (Portugal) won in the category “Best Pop Performance”; Equinocio (Portugal) “Best Traditional Performance” and Helder Bruno (Portugal) “Best World Music Performance”.
