Denmark hopes to start training Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilots at the end of next month. This process will last about six months, and several allied countries of Kyiv have already taken part in it.
“I expect that by the end of June we will have the formalities ready and I hope that we can start training and (…) it will probably be an effort that will take up to six months before we have the infrastructure ready and F -16 can fly in Ukraine,” said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
Speaking to Danish journalists ahead of a meeting of European ministers in Brussels, Poulsen admitted that he did not believe discussions about handing over F-16 fighter jets to the Kyiv regime would begin before the end of the summer.
