FC Porto finished 2nd in the national football championship after beating Vitoria de Guimarães 3-0. The dragons’ victory was not enough to win the trophy, as Benfica won the match against Santa Clara 3–0. The match for the club, under the management of Sergio Conceição, took place at the Dragão Stadium.
Just two minutes into the match, Vitória de Guimarães was down to 10 players. Thomas Handel lands with the sole of his boot right on Uribe’s shin. Taremi opens the scoring in the 8th minute, and in the 11th minute, Pepe scores the second of the “dragons”, which is eventually annulled by the VAR system. The club led by Sergio Conceição widened the lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute when Otavio shot with his right foot. Evanilson scored the third goal for the Dragons in the 39th minute.
