Five people have been placed under provisional arrest on suspicion of drug trafficking after the PSP detained a dozen people in the municipality of Castelo Branco.
According to the district command of the PSP Castelo Branco, the arrest of this group occurred recently, after several months of investigation.
“The PSP Criminal Investigation Squad of Castelo Branco, as part of a months-long investigation into drug trafficking in the municipality of Castelo Branco, has begun arresting 10 people between the ages of 30 and 57,” the statement said. PSP.
During the police operation, the agents also seized 2,550 doses of hashish, 25 doses of heroin, 35 doses of cocaine, 40 brands of LSD, five precision scales, four knives with drug residues, three butterfly knives (class A weapons considered prohibited), six switchblades and a pair of handcuffs.
Also seized were 5,520 euros in cash, a safe, several gold coins, 18 mobile phones, a car, two 9mm cartridges and two drug mills.
According to PSP in Castelo Branco, 10 defendants were heard by the court, which applied pre-trial detention to five detainees and established the identity and length of residence for the remaining five.
