Two twin sisters, born ten weeks earlier than expected, managed to survive, according to doctors’ prognosis, which ensured that girls only had a 10 percent chance of surviving. Florence and Mably were born in Abergel, North Wales and weighed less than 1 kilogram. Next July they will celebrate their first year of life.
“Because of the miniature size of the girls, we tried to endure the pregnancy as much as possible,” said the mother of the children. However, despite all efforts, little Florence and Mably were born ten weeks ahead of schedule.
In accordance with daily mail, the girls were placed in different hospitals, which forced the family to disperse. Florence remained in a hospital in Manchester, accompanied by her father, while her sister remained with her mother in a hospital in Oldham. “I said goodbye to Florence and didn’t know if I would see her alive again,” the girls’ mother said.
After several weeks of hospitalization, the family returned home. The last few months have been spent at the doctor’s office, and now the family is raising money to give to charity as a token of gratitude for the help they gave them last year.
“It was the most traumatic thing I have ever experienced. We have spent weeks wondering if our children will survive and if we will return home,” said the mother of the twins.
