An operation by the PSP and the Lisbon Fire Brigade (RSB) has been underway since 2:20 pm on Thursday to remove the body of a man from the bridge structure on 25 April.

“We have installed a high-altitude platform and are trying to get to this person, who is either on the steel cable of the bridge or on another part of the structure, below the platform for cars and the Fertagus train,” the department said. RSB source.

By 6 p.m., the RSB source concluded, “the operation had not yet been completed.”
