The Commander of the Armed Forces highlighted the teamwork of 90 indigenous people and 130 military special forces who traveled more than 2,600 kilometers to find four brothers who remained for 40 days in the jungles of Colombia.
“Thanks to the will and interaction of the indigenous people with Colombian soldiers, it was possible to form consolidated groups of search cells that were able to find four minors alive,” Commander Helder Giraldo quoted the Colombian newspaper as saying. Exchange.
“This is a moment of joy for all Colombians who have always had hope and faith because we knew this miracle would happen at any moment,” he adds.
According to the same source, the commander explained that more than 240 hours were allotted for rescue work by helicopter.
Recall, children 13, 9 and 4 years old, as well as an 11-month-old baby, went missing in the Amazonian jungle in southern Colombia after a plane crash on May 1.
