SDP President Luis Montenegro called this Friday to abandon “partisanism” so that “there is truth” in the drafting of the final report and the relevant conclusions of the TAP parliamentary committee of inquiry.
Speaking to reporters in Braga on the sidelines of the opening of the Youth Congress of the European People’s Party, Montenegro very peculiarly addressed this appeal “to the majority of the Socialist Party.”
“I hope it will be true when deputies, namely from the majority of the Socialist Party, are called to conclusions (…). investigative committees and not put the guerrillas above the search for the truth,” he said.
For the SDP leader, that commission of inquiry “revealed a number of inconsistencies and contradictions”, with “contradictory versions” of ministers and members of the government.
Montenegro also stated that the parliamentary commission of inquiry served to prove “government interference in the management of TAP”, a very minor way of establishing compensation for a former administrator, and “a very peculiar way of dismissing the chairman for good reason”. executive committee and chairman of the board of directors.
“I sincerely hope that there is a sense of truth, responsibility and that there will be no bias in the development of the final report and in the corresponding conclusions,” he stressed.
At a hearing this Friday, Montenegro’s finance minister said there was “no big news.”
“I kept what we already knew. In fact, the process that led to the dismissal and compensation of administrators is very strange, ”he concluded.
