This Thursday, a group of YouTubers driving a Lamborghini collided with another car carrying a 29-year-old mother with her two youngest children in Rome, Italy. Five-year-old Manuel did not survive the accident.
According to an Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, five young people, four boys and one girl, wanted to experience driving a luxury car for 50 hours. For two days they drove through the Casal Palocco area. At the time of the accident, the car was driving at high speed in the opposite lane.
The woman had just picked up Manuel from kindergarten with his three-year-old sister. In accordance with Corriere della Sera, Manuel died in the emergency department of the Grassi hospital, where he was taken by ambulance. Mother and younger sister have a poor prognosis.
The young man allegedly driving the luxury car, 20-year-old Matteo Di Pietro, is under investigation for murder. He passed a blood alcohol test and a drug test, both of which came back negative.
The group has 600 thousand Youtube subscribers and over 152 million views since 2020.
