The 57-year-old taxi driver was stopped at a red light on Rua D. Duarte in Lisbon, between Martim Moniz and Praça da Figueira, early Sunday morning when he realized two groups were arguing on a public road.
Resentment among the suspects escalated to the limit. At some point, one of them picked up a stone and threw it towards the taxi. The rear window of the car was broken. Seeing the damaged car, all the suspects fled.
The taxi driver immediately called the PSP, but when the operatives arrived at the scene, no one was found. According to the victim, he still received injuries due to glass fragments.
The act of violence occurred a few minutes after midnight.
PSP is investigating.
