At least four people, two adults and two children, were found dead inside a container at a farm in the Angolan municipality of Lobito, Benguela province, local police said on Wednesday, suspecting a crime of passion.
Speaking to Lusa, Ernesto Chivale, a spokesman for the Benguela Province National Police Directorate, said four bodies were found inside a container that a guard, one of the victims, used as his room.
According to the chief inspector of the corporation, the police rushed to the farm, located in the village of Kulango, 20 kilometers from the headquarters of the municipality of Lobito, having previously told the owner of the premises that there was no protection.
“The container was found locked and reinforced with wire, and because of the smell that came from there, the employees had to open the container and find four corpses, a 68-year-old man, his 32-year-old girlfriend and two more children,” he explained.
Ernesto Chivale also said the corporation is still unaware of the motive behind the death, suspecting it was “a crime of passion or involuntary”, ensuring that the investigation continues.
