The wreckage of the Titan submarine was recovered from the seabed on Wednesday and then unloaded at a Canadian port.
It is not clear where the wreckage was transported, but it is hoped that it will shed light on the cause of the explosion that killed five people on board.
Submersible Titan, who was transporting tourists millionaires to inspect the wreckage of the Titanic, went missing for several days. The worst-case scenario was later confirmed: a “catastrophic explosion” destroyed the submarine and resulted in the instant death of five passengers.
The tragic outcome was confirmed after a Canadian underwater robot discovered a “garbage field” at a depth of more than 3,800 meters and about 200 meters from the bow of the Titanic.
