A new suspicious envelope has been found at the Torrejon de Ardoz air base near Madrid, Spain, according to EFE.
Authorities are currently investigating whether the content of this order is explosive, as are letters sent to the Ukrainian embassy and a Spanish company that sells military equipment to Ukraine.
The information was given to the Spanish news agency by sources in the investigation, who indicated that around 03:00 local time (02:00 Lisbon), the air base notified the security forces of the presence of a suspicious envelope addressed to the Central de Satellits.
Appropriate security protocols were immediately activated, while the National Police began to analyze the envelope, after analyzing an x-ray that it may contain “some kind of mechanism” similar to the two that were intercepted on Wednesday.
In this Wednesday, the official was wounded when a letter he was dealing with exploded in the Ukrainian embassy. The second package was found in a Spanish arms company. The national police were called to the Instalaza company in the city of Zaragoza, Aragon region (northeast Spain), and they caused a controlled explosion of the artifact that was in the envelope.
