The two men were taken into custody after being brought before a criminal court in Aveiro on suspicion of having committed a crime of stealing base metals in the municipality of Mourtos. Two other defendants, who are also defendants in this process, heard about the use of coercive measures in the form of periodic representations at their official posts.
Four men, aged between 37 and 44, were arrested this Wednesday by the Murtos PNR for stealing more precious metals in the municipality of Murtos.
Guards on routine patrol surprised four suspects in an unoccupied dwelling stealing aluminum from windows and doors of the building.
Authorities also seized seven power tool batteries, six pairs of gloves, four pliers, three angle grinder cutting discs, three screwdrivers, three knives, three crowbars, two angle grinders, two hammers, two saws, iron, two picks and €253 in cash
